New Year Blessings

Wishing you New Year Blessings full of optimism and love for a wonderful 2025!

This is often the time of year when we start thinking about changes we wish to make and sometimes we can be too harsh with ourselves.  Be kind to yourself this January.

Look around in nature – all is quiet.  There is no high energy or surges of motivation, the earth is resting, nature is quiet, and the trees and plants are conserving their energy.  This will continue for another 4-6 weeks before the very early signs of spring start appearing with the Celtic celebration of Imbolc in early February.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – this is not the time to be harsh with yourself through your diet!  January is a time of resting, plenty of self-care, having afternoon naps, having duvet weekends and eating nourishing soups, stews and roasts, not smoothies/salads and detox diets!  If you do this, you will be strengthening and conserving your energy to give you enough for the months of action ahead.

So, save your New Year’s plans for a few more weeks. Tune into your energy levels and what your body needs. Rest, nourish, and quietly ponder your plans for this year, but save your detoxes, your big changes, and your new exciting experiences for a little longer.
